So it's here already; the final day of Sheffield Doc/Fest 2018.

Nooooo! Even though I'm super tired I don't want it to end. There's still loads to see and do though which is great.

I'd love to catch the closing night party at Code but I don't think I'll make it that far tonight.

I'm down at the studio updating the blog before heading off to Breaking Into Prisons.

That was a very informative and interesting session; really helpful and enjoyable. I'm back at the Exchange for a coffee and have bumped into a lady I met the other day.

I wasn't going to attend this but after popping to the loo in The Crucible, the queue wasn't very big and after reading about it; it sounds quite interesting so I'm in for Commissioning: Factual Entertainment.

Another good talk and very informative; I'm going to grab a nice cold beer and sit outside the exchange before going back for Commissioning: Documentary for Broadcast.

I have a ticket for Too Beautiful: Our Right To Fight but I realise that I have to move my car, get my laptop for tomorrow and I also really need to eat something.

Damn; I really wanted to see that film. Off to Wagamama for some fodder now.

That's the fodder swiftly dealt with; really needed that.

Down at the studio now; really very tired but I still want to catch the BBC Arts Drinks later on.

Overall I've had an excellent Doc/Fest again; I've met some really wonderful people and I hope to keep in touch with them and maybe see them again next year.

I've had a bit of a relax and an extra coffee so I'm about to head out to the BBC Arts Drinks at Tamper Sellers Wheel.

Well; the BBC Arts Drinks isn't starting until 19:00 now so I'm up at the Doc/Fest Exchange for a final visit and a quick drink.

Right; now at the BBC Arts Drinks and already spotted a number of people I've met this year.

Met a really nice lady from San-Francisco and had a good chat with her as well as some other people I've met this year and a few I already know.

I've left Tamper Sellers Wheel now to head down to The Showroom for my last drinks of the festival with an old friend.

Well; that's it. Doc/Fest 2018 for me is now over and it's a little sad already.

I passed the closing night party venue on my way home and was tempted to pop in but it's early for that venue and I'm back at work tomorrow so it's probably the best plan.

I've met up with some familiar faces and made some new friends this year and I've had a proper blast I have to say.

I'm really looking forward to next year now and will hopefully have something I can submit or pitch at that time.

What's next...

I've rekindled a documentary idea that I wasn't sure would really work, but with the inspiration I've attained this year I think I can make it work. I can start this pretty much immediately and shoot it solo as well so it's right at the top of my list.

Another documentary idea that I wasn't sure I'd be able to shoot has also been rekindled due to speaking with many people about it throughout the festival, I have some excellent contacts for this now so I'm going to start discussions about that as soon as possible.

I would love to be able to have a film screened at Doc/Fest so I'm really going to do what I can to produce some really good content.
